Good question Oz! There are so many things that would go thru my mind that my wife and I would love to do. One thing I can predict is it would be a whole lot better counting money from ahead then behind!!
But the very FIRST thing I would do is pay off any lingering debts my wife and I have. I might just bank the rest of it and live off the interest.

Sponsor our senior softball team with me playing shortstop and batting 4th.
I figured everyone could use a good laugh since nobody won.
ps - I'm left handed and not a power hitter.
pps - donate some, give some to family members, keep the rest to live on.

I would finance a system for SSUSA to keep all tournament scores posted IN REAL TIME. I would be able to afford more than one 'game'bat at a time. I would hire Steve Imlay to be my bat caddy and pay him well. I would fly to all tournaments a couple days ahead instead of driving 10 hours and getting in at the last minute, and I would stay a couple days longer. I would sponsor my own team so I could play any level I wanted to.I would want to be cryogenically frozen so I could see how hot Senior bats will be in 2075. I would also donate to Donald Trump's campaign so he would have to answer to me instead of doing the right thing for the country (isn't that the way it really works?)
Ok, seriously, my wife and I would love to be 'Secret Santas' all over the world, and we would remember those that helped us through tough times.

Yes, my first response was rather tongue-in-cheek but one thing for sure I would certainly give to veterans organizations and children's hospitals such as Shriners or St. Jude.

When I think about this even more I believe it would be prudent to hire a competent attorney and a competent financial advisor to make sure I don't foolishly spend all this money I'm going to win Wednesday night :)
Meanwhile back in the real world, would anyone fully sponsor the senior tournament team they play on?
I'm not so certain I would but what I would do is cover every teams entry fee in the senior leagues I play in during the week.

The old saying "to whom much is given, much is expected" comes to mind. There are a lot of near term things I would do to make life easier on myself, family and friends but it would be a burden to figure out how to handle that amount of wealth out of nowhere. One of the main concerns would be for the safety of immediate family. Someone I worked with many years ago won a about $15 million and had people showing up at his house and following him asking for money and sometimes demanding money. You'd have to be very careful about things once people knew who won. That part would be pretty scary.

After you take care of immediate needs, it would be hard to decide who you would want to help. Anyway, it's worth a few bucks to dream for a few minutes each day.
