3DAY VS. 2DAY
I HAVE EXPRESSED CONCERN TO ALL LEAGUES
ABOUT THE NEED FOR A 3DAY TOURNAMENT
FOR 5,6, EVEN 7 TEAMS IN A BRACKET. MANY OF
US STILL WORK AND HAVE TO TAKE FRIDAY AND
SOMETIMES THURSDAY OFF TO ATTEND A
TOURNAMENT THAT COULD BE DONE IN 2DAYS.
DO ANY OF YOU SHARE THE SAME CONCERN???

I for one do. With the room cost double+ on Fri and Sat nights in Reno & Vegas at least it would cut the Thurs night cost. I feel most players who do not live near by have to get there Thurs, if not only because they have no idea (long enough before hand ) when or where they will be playing (to be sure the have a room) & possibly save a days cost. Bad enough when the team pays entry fees of 500+ and wins only a shirt, hat, or a wind breaker or perhaps two items. Add to that the other travel cost, food, gas, air fare etc, etc. Any rich sugar ladies out there? Seems like the cost, fees and rooms at least, have done nothing but escalate lately, But where is the pay back? Anyboby know? No doubt we will still come, but for how long. I'd like to go to a new one but then again more travel worries.

Feel your PAIN...

We come from Hawaii...and to come to any part of the Mainland for a 2 dayer wouldn't be prudent for us players.

Cost is cost...Awards? What can you say...Rings cost money. Not all that money that they are collecting but they do cost.
Tee-Shirts, Caps, Jackets, etc. is all well and fine but, to Win the tourney and say you won a World or a National that says something. If it is infact a worthy thrown tournament w/a decent amount of teams.
6-8-12 yeah 2 dayer, anything more would be a 3rd day w/pool play and all and then the Dbl Elim.
We are all held hostage to the Tournaments. If we don't go they don't have a tourney but then we don't get to play.
Catch 22 I guess.
