New Combat senior bat....?
What's up with the new 2017 Combat "Rocket Launcher" bat, anyone heard of or tested this one? I just saw it on Kelly's site. They are accepting pre-orders on them stipulating that you can use it for 30 days and if it's not the hottest bat or if you don't like it you can send it back for a full refund. They have end load and balanced as well as an "all associations" bat with the same guarantee. Delivery date is March 2016.

IF the info is correct, does Kelly's also state they will refund your $$$ when the bat is declared illegal?

A close up of the bat shows a senior softball stamp on it.
Sounds like Kelly's will let you use the refund towards another purchase from them.
Mike claims it is the hottest bat out there.

MY MISTAKE.
It says a 30 day money back guarantee.
Sorry.

Whatever the bat does, the marketing is really geared toward the senior player on a fixed income, or just a thrifty person.

Guys, is this just another example of the latest and greatest thing out to get old people's money? Seems there is a new bat out calming this every year.

I don't know HEMI but at least it's up to the buyer whether or not they keep the bat or opt to get their money back we can't do that with our other bats. Brave move by COMBAT.

OZ40,

Are you sure this a Combat guarantee ? It could be an offer from Kelly's. This new bat isn't even listed on the Combat webpage, my guess it is a exclusive model designed for Kelly's Sports. Just a guess.

What happens when it breaks on day 31?
Should be interesting to see the performance and durability on the field.
I am waiting on the new Adidas senior bat that is due out soon.Cannot wait to get it in my hands....

It could be Kelly offering the deal. In any event I'd hope if someone swings one that they'd give us some feedback.

Bruster, what happens when any other senior bat breaks sometimes much earlier than day 31.....probably the customer service dept.

16,
The Adidas bat is said to be coming into the country in March if all things go well in production.

I talked with a Combat rep that everyone knows and he said the Rocket Launcher is Mike Kelly's graphics on the new Combat senior bat. Kelley's has the guarantee. I don't recall what Combat calls the bat. The balanced version is red with the tacky surface like the Dudleys. The end loaded version is white with a green stripe, no tacky surface. Guys with Covellos in Tampa were killing it with those bats. Granted the guys were huge.
Guys on our team bought several.
Maybe Combat has another winner!

They were the Combat version. The balanced version is red and the el version was white with a green strip down one side.

The bats being hit in Florida where not Rocket launchers.

1. One was the new Wallace Cent ..It's our first bat built in the Bauer facility using the new Composite material.

2. The other was the Maxum that's built in our Ottawa plant based on the the high mode composite we launched this year in baseball. The fiber allowed us to create the longest barrel, lightest swing weight baseball bats and put a 500 day warranty on them. We are taking that technology to a Senior bat.

3. The Rocket Launcher is a bat that will be made in Ottawa, production has just got underway. We are making a couple for Kelly'S Ultimate sports .. One a all-association bat with our Quadisc technology.

**Quadisc 275 Technology = Outer wall of seamless infused composite, two balanced middle walls of aerospace grade Graphite prepreg and an inner wall of ultra-tough hyper-elastic polymer at mid-barrel.

The other is a senior bat ... We have had a little delay on releasing all the specs as we have been waiting on some patents and trademarks. The Rocket launcher will be the first to use this tech and will only be available at Kelly's.

All three of our new senior bats are totally different tech then we have ever built and we thought splitting them up was a great way to let the facts on the models be told.

Mike and his team of hitters in both California and Arizona have been awesome as we tested roughly 80 designs of the new tech over the last 18 months. we also had test sessions in Washington, Florida, Texas and New York.

We had no desire to re-brand old technology.

Hey Coop 14, I read your post regarding the Combat Rocket Launcher Senior softball bat. Following a Google search on the bat, I found another website that is already offering the same bat for sale. That website is: 707Softballbats.com
I only mention this because I've been finding a lot of bogus websites selling top of the line bats for dirt cheap prices only to be scamming the buyers. Based on what you've told us about Kellys being the sole provider of the Rocket Launcher Senior, that could very well be the case with the website I mentioned above. If you have any connection with Combat or Kellys, you might want to inform them of this. Thanks.....

707softballbats.com is Kelly's ultimate sports ... He has a few sites. The bats are in production and should be completed about months end. Limited production run of the 275 bats.

Hope this helps.

Coop: Just received confirmation from Kelly's that 707 is indeed another of his websites. I sent my apology to him and explained that I was only looking out for his interests considering the number of bogus websites out there..........

As a follow-up to my recent dealing with KellysUltimateSports, I'm not getting into all the details but Kellys has gone out of their way to resolve a complicated issue and for that I thank them very much. In the future they will by source for bats and I will pass that information to all my softball buddies...........

Money Back if unused. We used it and its a dud. Kellys said we should use it for BP then. Oh well!

Off to buy a Miken again.
