Was it just me Superbowl
Was that a lackluster Superbowl 50 or is it just me? Kinda sloppy, no flow. Is Payton coming back next year?

It is about time to see the headline "Cam gets shafted'.
Some of the blowout bowls from the past were lackluster-I thought it was great watching 2 very good defenses harass the offenses. Watching Denver's defense teach Cam a bit of humility was fun, too. His over the top 'in your face' showboating all year was sickening to see and sure sends a bad message to kids about sportsmanship. And his begging for a call in the end zone near the end was akin to a 2 year old's tantrum. I enjoyed the game-with no real 'horse in the race'.
Peyton needs to retire now-at the top. What a way to go.

Points well taken. Of course with me being from Detroit....well the Lions have won 1 playoff game since 1957. What a dubious sports record of mediocracy.

You are exactly right Mark! How about him not trying to recover his fumble? What a wus. No dabbing last night.

Spot on Webbie. Humility lesson will sting for some time. Perhaps a bit less showboating next season as a result.
As a NON Lady Gaga fan, WOW, way to stick the national anthem!!! Made my eyes water panning to the various military shots during the singing. Maybe 2nd only to Whitney Houston version.

I enjoyed the game, being a Peyton Manning fan I hope he does retire on top. Mark, it was good to see Newton brought back to earth a little. Him not diving for the fumble at the end of the game says a lot about who he is. The old guard football players gave him a hard time about that. His after game interviews were not that great either, he has a lot to learn. Congratulations to the Denver defense, they really played a good game.

The reason for the Lions dismal record all these years is largely due to William Clay Ford and his family....

Sorry, but I think Lady Gaga's version of the national anthem was every bit as good as, if not better than Whitney Houston's version!

Will somebody explain why the Denver Broncos went for the 2 point conversion after their last touchdown with about 3 minutes left in the game?

Thought the half time show was very weak. Springsteen, Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, Aerosmith, U2, Mandonna, Diana Ross, etc. Coldplay???

So if the Broncos kicked the extra point they would have had a 13 point lead...so what difference did that extra point make? 13 or 14

8 + 7 = Panthers Win 7 + 7 = Overtime or win. I get Panthers have to score twice, but why not.

The Cam play at the end by not trying to recover his fumble begs to ask if possibly his poor play would have anything to do with throwing a game. It does -and has- happened. I believe the Broncs defense was ready for them and did play well. Congrats to Peyton if he goes out on top.

Bubblegum, a 14 point lead is a huge difference than 13.

I wrote that this morning early, and forgot about the fumble-that just says huge things about who he is. I was also shocked they punted from their own end zone late in the game-I seem to remember this year Aaron Rogers was in the same situation and threw 2 Hail Marys to tie the game. They gave up---in the SUPER BOWL. And then Cam walked from the news conference. Just like a 5 year old throwing a tantrum when things didn't go his way. One of my customers said "He was supposed to be there the whole game , but just made a Cam-eo appearance."
Going for 2 was an easy choice. With a 13 point lead 2 touchdowns and 2 extra points beats you, and with the 2 point conversion that only makes it a tie game. No-brainer.
