March 11, 2016 SSUSA Staff 3465 posts | The official SSUSA pitching distance is 50' from the rear point of home plate to the front edge of the pitching rubber. Home plate is a 17" square with the two rear corners removed so that the front edge is 17 inches wide, the two adjacent sides are 8½ inches deep and the remaining two sides are 12" and set at an angle to make a point ... That makes the front edge of home plate to the front edge of the pitching rubber dimension 48'-7" (50' less 17") ... |
