| April 5, 2016 superfonzie Men's 50 18 posts | ASA & USSSA BATS I may be wrong in saying this but last year I was using ASA and USSSA bats in SSUSA and never had any issues or problems ...this year and specifically this last weekend I was told by the director after my third game I could not use these bats unless they were on the approved bat list provided by SSUSA ... I ended up using a teammates senior bat and put my others away, Can I get some input and help or clarification on the bat rules please ... Thanks Superfonzie |
| April 5, 2016 jc11 Men's 50 15 posts | 3.4(3) • APPROVED BATS All bats marked "1.21 BPF" (Bat Performance Factor) or less, SSUSA approved bats, or bats having an ASA 2000 or 2004 stamp are approved for use. Any bat displaying the label "Exceeds 1.21 BPF" is not approved. The rating must be clearly visible on the bat, or it must be obvious to the inspector that the bat is of an age to make it not high-tech. Effective with the 2014 playing Season, any new bats introduced by bat manufacturers after 2013 must be clearly and permanently marked “Approved for SSUSA Use”, or similar, by permanent sticker, etching or imprint. |

| April 5, 2016 mad dog Men's 65 4191 posts | basically...if the bat can be used in any of the young guys assoc...it will be good to use for senior ball....not sure what your director was thinking when he told you that.....senior assoc(ssusa) has only a couple of bats we can't use and really they should even be taken them off the banned list......there is one assoc in senior ball that won't allow fast-pitch bats.....don't have a clue as to why..as fast-pitch bats are no better than their slow-pitch counterparts....actually they both have to pass the same exact test.... |
