| April 6, 2016 SSUSA Staff 3484 posts | TIDEWATER CLASSIC 2016 • DRAFT Game Schedules & Brackets DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for the SSUSA's Tidewater Classic 2016 in Virginia Beach, VA, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament Page ... As always, these DRAFT schedules are TENTATIVE, are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting before play commences ... NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are “frozen” as of the Manager’s Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed, as all roster changes were previously approved through the Sacramento home office ... Managers who do not attend the Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director. | April 7, 2016 SSUSA Staff 3484 posts | MINOR REVISIONS ON FRIDAY • The Session #2 FRIDAY (ONLY) schedule has been modified to reflect having to be clear of the facility for Friday evening Local League play ... The revisions, with an effective date of 04/07/2016, are online ... A few teams will play slightly earlier and a few other divisions will start slightly later to balance the schedule times and still have us concluded in time ... SATURDAY TRAFFIC & PARKING • Please allow a little extra travel and parking time on Saturday due to expected increased traffic flows in Virginia Beach ... They are hosting a concert Saturday by Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band ... The "Parrotheads" come out early and in large numbers ... The amphitheater venue is only about 750 yds. from the softball complex and congestion (and the "fun factor") will be very high ... Good luck everyone! |
| April 12, 2016 SSUSA Staff 3484 posts | TUESDAY RAINOUT • Play has been suspended for the day and has been rescheduled for Wednesday ... Two games were completed, two were suspended (both in the 4th inning) and one game was postponed ... The suspended games will resume at 8:00 AM and the postponed game will play at 9:00 AM on Wednesday ... Bracket play will commence at 11:00 AM ... All changes have been posted online ...
