ROCK 'n' RENO CHALLENGE CUP 2016 • DRAFT Game Schedules & Brackets
DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for SESSION #1 the 2016 Rock 'n Reno Challenge Cup in Reno, Sparks and Carson City, NV, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament Page ... As always, these DRAFT schedules are TENTATIVE, are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting the evening before play commences ...

NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are “frozen” as of the Manager’s Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed, as all roster changes were previously approved through the Sacramento home office ... Managers who do not attend the Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director.

The Participating Teams List and the Master Games & Fields Grid have also been posted ... Good luck to all!

MINOR REVISIONS TO DATE • There have been three minor revisions to the TENTATIVE DRAFT schedules and brackets for Rock 'n Reno 2016, as follows:

WOMEN'S 50/55+ DIVISION • There were a couple of changes in the seeding games schedule to grant a late(r) start request that had been made prior to schedule construction, but the email was missed while the office staff was working the NorCal Cup on-site ...
MEN'S 40-MASTERS MAJOR • There were a couple of changes in the seeding games schedule, for the same reason as mentioned above ...
MEN'S 40-MASTERS MAJOR+ and 60-MAJOR • Sunday Field Assignments for these two divisions were swapped to minimize risk to parked cars and to increase the accessibility for retrieving HR balls by the 40-Masters Major+ ...

MAJOR SESSION #1 REVISION • Due to the unexpected withdrawal of a 60-Major team (Utah Coyotes) on Friday (05/20/16) morning, extensive revisions were required to modify the DRAFT game schedules and brackets for Rancho San Rafael on Friday and Golden Eagle on Saturday ... The affected Divisions were:

• MEN'S 40-MAJOR+ - Saturday bracket game times changed
• MEN'S 40-MAJOR - Saturday bracket game times changed
• MEN'S 60-PLATINUM - Friday seeding games redrafted
• MEN'S 60-MAJOR+ - Saturday seeding AND bracket game times changed
• MEN'S 60-MAJOR - Saturday and Sunday bracket redrafted
• WOMEN'S 40-AAA - Friday seeding AND bracket game times changed

All revisions are online, and we apologize for the inconveniences affecting such a broad range of divisions and teams, despite the fact that the cause was completely outside of our control ... Good luck to everyone ...

BATTING PRACTICE NOTES • The following may be helpful for teams seeking batting practice opportunities prior to beginning play during the Tournament ... Theams that have the first game of the day are welcome to hit (off the dirt, in outfields only) on their field so long as it does not interfere with the field preparation process or expose park personnel to the risk of injury ...

RANCHO SAN RAFAEL • There are no suitable places to hit in the Park ... We will try to locate alternatives by the time of the Manager Meetings ...

SHADOW MOUNTAIN PARK • There are multiple open space locations at Shadow Mountain for BP ... This facility may also be utilized for hitting during Session #3 for teams playing at Golden Eagle ...

GOLDEN EAGLE REGIONAL PARK • The Park Rules have changed since last year ... Hitting is permitted ONLY on the six softball fields (#10-15) at the complex AND the Babe Ruth baseball fields (#5-6) ... NOTE: Hitting on the Little League fields (#1-4), the multi-use football and soccer fields (#7-9), ANY grass areas, or the natural habitat is PROHIBITED ... Please see the Park Rules flyer available from the first post of this thread ...

CENTENNIAL PARK • There are two larger diamonds available just inside the entrance to the park, on the left, before heading up the hill to Fields #4-7 ... Please avoid hitting on the soccer field in the same area ...
