My son Tim
Hello Guys,
I consider many of you family and wanted to reach out to the softball community after receiving a lot of emails, calls , and texts concerning my son Tim. On Saturday I was playing at the Senior Smokey Mountain Classic when I received a call that my son Tim had been involved in a serious motorcycle accident and airlifted to a hospital in Little Rock, AK. I got in touch with them as he was being admitted. There were no flights out of Knoxville so I left the field and immediately began driving the 7.5 hours to Little Rock. They called to update me and Tim had severe brain injuries and they asked me to get there as soon as I could. My son Tim passed away Saturday evening and went to heaven to be with my infant son Travis who preceded him. I was and am very proud of my son and his strong Christian faith and I know where he is right now. I share thiis with you my friends and ask that you pray for my family and also especially for his 2 young children. We are having a service here in Arkansas on Thursday and a memorial service down in Florida at Christ Fellowship in Palm Beach Gardens on Saturday , June 25th at 10 am. Any of you are welcome to attend. We will be arranging a memorial fund in lieu of flowers in honor of Tim for his children. Thank you for each of your prayers and support during this.

Alan....

I am truly sorry about your Loss...I was in Maryville this past weekend, but based on our schedule, could not get over to speak to you. Condolences and my Deepest Sympathy. My Prayers go out to you and your Family...Stay Strong,Keep the Faith....."Tim took his Hand, when he Heard Him Call,Turned his Back and left it all.He could not stay another Day,to Laugh,to Love,to Work,or Play. TASKs left undone must stay that way.Tim found the Peace at the Close of the Day.If his Parting has left a Void, then Fill it with Remembered Joy."

TR 18 ,you don't know me but my heart goes out to you in your loss. I lost my son ,who also was named Timothy, last August ,due to a heart attack, while playing a hockey game.He was only 44. Luckily no children.. Your whole world is turned upset down by a phone call. It is something you will never get over, but as the days go by start to accept.. You will have good days and bad days. Take your time and grieve. Stay busy and stay strong for your family. Just keep remembering all the funny times you enjoyed together. Well best of luck and stay healthy and if you or your family need professional help ,do it.

Morning Alan, over the past several years of doing business and being on the field with you I have grown to love and respect you as a person and brother in Christ. Now you join me in a fraternity that I wish we neither of us belonged, that of having lost a child. Would love to offer encouragement that time helps, but I have found that the sadness never goes away.

Dear friends,
Thank you so much for your replies here, calls, texts, and emails. I am telling you honestly that your prayers and support truly matter. I also hope that none of you as parents have to endure this. It is so very hard to trust that Gods plan is the perfect one in a time like this even though in our heart of hearts we know it is.
My son was an incredible athlete, father, friend, and a strong Christian example. As I have been in his hometown these last few days many, many people have reached out to me to express the impact he had on their lives. I am a grieving but extremely proud father today. My son did not like flowers...! We are respecting that and in lieu of that we have set up an educational trust fund for his son Bryson age 3 and daughter Kayran age 20 months. It is account number 00003286497702 at TD BANK. You can visit any TD location, use "pop" or p2p transactions or Paypal donations to:
Timtanner17@bellsouth.net. You can also use the mail at:

Thank you again from myself and my family. Please keep praying for us. We feel it and it is our comfort.
