| Feb. 8, 2007 Boston Ballplayer Men's 50 2 posts | Looking for a MA/RI/CT tournament team that needs a player Hello...I'm a softball player from the Boston-area who just turned 50 and am looking to find a Tournament Team that needs a ballplayer, in the MA, RI, or CT area...I'm 6'4", 215 lbs, very good hitter and fielder...I play a lot ---> I'm the 2nd baseman for 5 league team leagues in and around Boston; the oldest guy in every league (these leagues contain mostly 25-40 YO players), yet play every inning of every game (182 games total in 2006)...I also play on a couple of tournament teams (Class E and Over 40 --- which I'd drop if an Over 50 Team is found)...I'm looking to hook up with an Over 50 Tourney Team to see how I would do playing against people my own age...P.S. I'm a former 20-year outfielder, so a switch to OF would not be out of the question. |
| Feb. 9, 2007 DonH Men's 50 2 posts | Let me know if you find a team. I'm also in my early 50's. I know there's a 55+ team (BaySate Bombers) that play out of Ludlow Mass and there's a 55+ team from Eastern Mass also but I don't know of any 50+ teams around here. I'm still playing tournaments (not as many as I used to), maybe one a month. Now adays I'm pitching and haven't played the outfiield since 1993 when I lived in New Orleans. |
