Vegas and California......
Can I play on a vegas 50AAA and a california 55AAA at the same time during the same year?

Yes, so long as you are otherwise eligible as to age and residency. CA and NV are bordering states and you may play for a team in each state if you reside in either of them. The 55-AAA must also have room in their 3 allowable out-of-rating roster spots for you.

Dave, please explain this. If he is 55 playing on a 50AAA team, isn't he also rated as AAA when he plays 55s? How does that count as an out-of-rating roster spot for the 55AAA team?

Your age doesn't change the rating level. 50 AAA has a higher rating. 50AAA has a rating of 7. 55AAA rating of 6

titanhd is correct ... A player's team rating history experience "number" is the highest rating index for team(s) the player has played with over the current and two prior Seasons ... Playing 50-AAA (R/I = 7) will result in his 55-AAA (R/I = 6) team using one of their three allowable out of rating roster exemptions ...

Okay. Thanks for the clarification. If I am 55 but playing 50 major (R/I = 6), can I also play on a 55 AAA team (R/I = 8)?

Please call the office in Sacramento tomorrow (Tuesday) at (916) 326.5303 and ask George that question ... I'm traveling back from Austin today and won't be there before he leaves for the day ... The general rule prohibits a two R/I straddle (8 to 6), but there may be other circumstances you two can discuss rather than me just tossing out a generic binding response here ... Thanks ...

** I reside in california now...what does that do for me with my original question?.

**what are the drop add rules now in senior softball? How many teams can I play for in the same year in the same state and same division? what does 50AAA in vegas and 55AAA in cali allow me?

It does nothing in regards to your original question except (maybe) add clarification ... If you are a legitimate CA resident, you may play for a team in either age group {IF YOU ARE OTHERWISE ELIGIBLE AS TO AGE AND RATING EXPERIENCE HISTORY) that is based in CA or it's bordering states of AZ, HI, NV or OR ... You may only play for two teams in any given Season in the same age group ... You get ONE release per season in any age group, so in theory you could play for two separate teams (but not simultaneously) in each age group ... If you are released by Team "A" and go to Team "B" in either age group, you may only play for Team "B" and may NOT return to Team "A" or ANY other Team "C" ... Hope this helps ... If not, please call the Sacramento Office for additional inquiries ...
