| July 19, 2016 JBTexas Men's 70 434 posts | Biggest league We(San Antonio senior softball league, SASSL) will be having our 30th Anniversary next year, Mr. Bill Altman started our league in 1987 with four teams. We currently have 46 teams in 7 Divisions and over 600 senior players. We have always claimed to be the largest senior league in the United States and were wondering if there was any larger groups in one city in the US. Bill is still playing at the age of 85+. We have added 10 teams this year including a over 40 co-ed division, so senior ball is not dying in Texas. |
| July 22, 2016 Dancer 115 posts | 46 teams, I believe that is bigger than all the leagues in Houston area combined. Maybe 39 teams in Houston right now in 3 different leagues. Biggest league in Houston has 28 teams. |
