July 26, 2016 hitnrun5 Men's 70 72 posts | Fellow player needs help This is Kenny, outfielder for Nighthawks, formerly with Joe Browns and AZ Rogue.I am writing this on behalf of Mike Ayo, a teammate and good friend of mine. Mike has been recently diagnosed with acute kidney failure in both kidneys. He has been hospitalized for almost two weeks and has under gone numerous dialysis treatments in an attempt to "jump start" his kidneys. He has now had surgery to install a permanent port for treatment as his kidneys have not responded to treatment. Mike was there for me when I was having kidney issues, 7 surgeries in 5 years, and also when I almost lost my leg to MRSA. It is my time to be there for him and I am asking my fellow softball family members for help.A go fund me account has been set up to help Mike with his medical bills and to help pay his household bills. The link can be reached at: gofundme.com/2g7faw4c. Please pass this on to any and all that may be able to help and please keep Mike in your prayers and thoughts. Thanks in advance for your help and prayers, Kenny Vaught |

If everybody on the message board kicked in $5 it would go a long way in helping a brother softballer with mounting exspenses!! Mike is a nice guy and a great team mate and would be at the front of the line to help someone else! Please help him!!! |

Dec. 23, 2016 Johnny Hose Men's 50 73 posts | As I am another one of Mikes close friends, I have been with this ordeal from the start. God Bless all of you that have had Mike in your thoughts and prayers. He has some enormous hills to climb but you are making it easier for him. A simple post or thought brings comfort knowing that his softball brothers are thinking of him, especially around this time of year. Happy Holidays to you all. Johnny Hose |
