Where are all the teams??????
Birmingham used to be one of the biggest tournaments around.
I know they have field problems this year, but still....

This year
6 --50 major
3 --50 AAA
2 --55 major
2 --55 AAA
1 --55 AA
4 --65 AAA
2 --60 AAA

Is there another tournament going on that I don't know about?
Any ideas where all the teams are/

Maybe its time to for ALL the associations to have a sit down and find a way to keep senior softball alive.

Just my 2 cents worth.

PS.. IS there any place to see how many teams were in the 2105 tournaments?
I would like to see the ones that have flourished or gone backwards

This is an absolute joke.Should just cancel if no more teams than that. I just don't understand why Birmingham cant get teams like they used to. Liberty park is as nice a park as any in the south.

I agree Tom, but we have to play here to go to Vegas
I wish that the other associations would get together and plan the weekend tournaments and spread them out so every tournament would get more teams.
At least they changed it where we don't have to play the one other 55 major team in the round robin as they had it scheduled.

CYA in Birmingham.

I'd love to play SSUSA but at my age it probably will never happen. After our team won the Vegas tournament in 2014 at 65M. It's hard to find a team.I wasn't really a Major player more like a AAA . SSUSA has only 1 tournament in my area an that's Birmingham, Al. I'll try to get bumbed down to Major in 2017. coop I play 45 ball with Al Yng and Dale Smth. Great ball players. Good luck in Birmingham.

I have talked to MANY players in the same situation
(many on my team now)
I don't believe that a team should get moved up just for winning or placing high in Vegas. It should be over a 2 year stretch to make a move up.
Any team can just have a great weekend (getting all the breaks, etc) and should not be penalized for it.
If you dominate or even place high in many tournaments in 2 straight years, I do say make you move up... BUT when you move up an age group let the team start back at AAA if they want to. It is hard enough to field a team as you get older especially when you have to play major to start with and the team is really an AAA team.
Just my 2 cents worth as always.
Brett
PS You are correct about AL and Dale.. Both great ball players, but more than that, great people.

Well I can tell why there are no 60 teams, they had us playing on Wednesday and Thursday because they screwed up on fields and could not get on the weekend. Only reason we are going is to qualify for Vegas. 2 out of 3 on a Wednesday, what a joke.

GADSDEN AL has a tournament last weekend of August NSA. Not a screwed up schedule playing. Most teams didn't want to play Tuesday and wensday.

TN Connection 55 has it on our schedule
I hope it turns out to be a good tourney
I have never played in Gadsden.
