Mikon ultra banned
I play in a league where Mikons are the only banned bat after so many home runs. I am now on the list. A friend gave me a Steele XXX bat. Is this bat any good?

Are you saying that once you hit so many HR's with a Miken Ultra 2, you can no longer use that bat. What if you hit a lot of homeruns with a non Miken bat such as the Combat? Is that bat then banned? How do they keep track of all that?

There are many bats that are way better than the SteeleXXX. Try the senior Combat or in my opinion, the best ASA bat is the Easton Stealth CNT 98 or the prior version of it the Synergy CNT Flex.

I agree that sounds silly, banning a bat because of homeruns. By the way, I have the CNT 98, great bat but the Rip It senior ASA is better. Just my two cents worth.

Thanks guys. Yea in our league Senior Softball in San Diego played at Dana Field in Point Loma the only banned bat is the Mikon because of the outfield fence distance 230-260. You can use the Mikon but if you hit too many homers then you are on a list banning the Mikon. I will now have to use a different bat and hate to give up the homers I got used to. Sounds like this CNT 98 or the Rip it is a good bat. Will try one of these out. Thanks

With fences at that distance you'll be using wiffle ball bats soon

With those short fences no way should you be using the Ultra's. In fact shouldn't be using composites at all.

You didn't say what age group or what ball you use but I would love to play with those short fences with any bat.
