JRD: Bats, come in Balance, End Loads, & Barrel Weighted. Bats also, come in Stiff & Flex handles.

A Balance Bat, feels balance. An End Loaded Bat feels as, if, the bats weight is in the End of that bat. Most players that swing a Balance Bat, will swing a bat that is 1 oz heavier.

An End Loaded Bat, will increase ones bat speed by 5 to 10 percent.

When one swings a Balance Bat, the bats head feels as if, the head of the bat is lagging behind, ones hands.

When one swings an End Loaded Bat, the head of the bat, feels as if, that bats head is 'whipping' thru the ball.

Stronger players generally perfer a bat that has a stiff handle. A bat w/ a flex handle, allows a player to get more 'whip' on a bat. HENCE: a bat flexes, once a ball is hit.

GOOD LUCK....... there is more infor, if, one checks out other post about bats.

thanks stoneman, i did read on and found lots of information. I am mainly a line drive hitter with some pop so it sounds like I could go either way (whichever feels more comfortable). Most likely end loaded. Thanks again.
