Solution of underage teams
I have empathy for the 40's team that went to a tournament in Arizona and were forced to play a team with some 30 ish players. I play for an 80's team in NCSSA and most tournaments we are the only 80 team facing 75's and 70's and occasional 65 who all use the hot Senior bats.
SOLUTION for the Arizona Director is:
1. If team is trying to enter illegally, send them home, no invitation to play in the future and keep and divide their entry fee among legal teams.
2. If team declared they had some players under 40. enter them as exhibition, no awards to be allowed with one BIG provisor. Everyone on that team must use ASA bats, NOT Senior bats.

The same SAFETY concern among 40 to 35 is probably magnified for 80 to 70.

NO amount of run handicaps covers the safety concern.

the reason we pay membership fees is so they have our personal info so we can't enter tournaments outta our age group.don't the 40's have to pay their dues.how can a team even be allowed to enter with an illegal roster?

If it is a SSUSA turny the solution is already in place. Have a senior card and id or you don't play. Simple.

Now let's say an illegal player gets caught playing, he and the manager should get ejected on the spot and manager suspended one year from SSUSA. It is the managers responsibility to know the status of ALL players on the team.

A solution to easily tell if a player checked in is a 2 cent paper wristband. Check in each day of the turny with a different color given each day.

The team in question isn't even a registered SSUSA team. They haven't paid a team fee to register or have players paid to play in our sanction so this is why it should have never happened. Nothing to show anyone. 😡
