The other thread closed, but I can't leave it like that. Simply go to the actual New Mexico budget figures rather than a political blog filled with lies and you will see he did well. He did increase spending that much in 8 years. But the population of the state rose by around 15% during that time, he increased education spending by almost $1B a year, spent another $500M on the roads, which we all appreciate, because most of our major (20,000-50,000 people) cities were connected by long, 2 lane roads and most are now 4 lane roads, and also replaced a lot of the general fund, which the Democrats deplete every time they get in office. And he did balance the budget from year to year-that debt you talk about is a contrived figure. We are way too dependent on oil and gas here and it is a tough state to run. I really wish people didn't just believe everything the media and political pundits (all well paid on both sides to lie to people in a believable way) feeds them.
