Bat Knob
Hi
Before I screw something up I want to get info from someone with some knowledge of the Miken Big Cat bat. After I hit a ball and drop the bat to run to first base the sound of the bat hitting the ground sounds bad. I'm not sure if the knob is loose or what.

So my questions are:
On Miken bats does the Knob screw on the to end of the bat, like the Adidas?
If the knob is loose, how do I fix it?

I think the knob on the Miken Big Cat is pressure fitted on to the bat.

First of it depends if it's the old Big Cat with the red/white logos and bigger knob or the new black/gold Big Cat Ultra II Black. In either case the knob isn't screwed on. The older version the knob was simply glued on however, the newer version the knob has been redesigned to fit into the inside diameter of the handle which is then glued and pinned. I'd say even the newer version of the Ultra II (and most of the line up of Miken/Worth bats could all use a bit more glue as the knob tends to get loose and pivot slightly around the pin.

I have the "New" Black Cat.
And thank you for the info!

I was told the bat sounds that way because it's a two piece and that the sound is actually from the glue where the two pieces are bonded together.
