WINTER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016 • DRAFT Game Schedules & Brackets
DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for SESSION #1 (Men's 65+ through 85+ Divisions) of the 2016 Winter National Championships in Ft. Myers, Cape Coral and Naples, FL, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament Page ... As always, these DRAFT schedules are TENTATIVE, are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting the evening before play commences ...

NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are “frozen” as of the Manager’s Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed, as all roster changes were previously approved through the Sacramento home office ... Managers who do not attend the Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director.

The Participating Teams List and the Master Games & Fields Grid for the session have also been posted ... Good luck to all!

• SESSION #1 REVISIONS - LEE COUNTY COMPLEX • The original DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for the teams playing at Lee County Sports Complex did not survive final executive level review and format changes were mandated for the 75-Major, 75-AAA and 80/85-Gold Divisions ... The effects of the revisions also changed seeding and bracket game times in the 65-AA Division ... The changes reduce the maximum potential number of games to be played on any given day, as follows ...

• MEN'S 75-MAJOR & 80/85-GOLD • Format changed FROM two round robin seeding games into three-game-guarantee brackets TO a full (4-game) round robin to seed a Modified Single Elimination brackets on Thursday, respectively ... In this format, the conditional "If" game is played ONLY if an UNBEATEN #1 Seed loses its FIRST game of the ENTIRE tournament in the Championship Game ... If both teams in that game each have at least one loss during the week, the game is a "winner take all" championship.

• MEN'S 75-AAA • Bracket will start on Tuesday afternoon (instead of Wednesday morning) to reduce the potential games burden for individual teams on Wednesday.

The revisions are online ... Good luck to all! ...
