Papago Softball Complex Phoenix AZ
Good Morning,

I have never played at Papago Softball complex in Phoenix. I tried looking at reviews however none of them are within this past few years. Can anyone tell me what the field conditions are like? Thanks in advance

Papago is my Favorite! Close to Home & Good Field Conditions with plenty of shade for fans. Parking lot is small, but it's strictly for the ball fields (not a park). For out of towers, it's the closest fields from the airport . . .

Agree with ^ JDub ^ 101% .. Played there as a youngster in the 70's and have worked there as a Director for years ... One of my favorite parks in the country ... Field prep has been outstanding every year and park staff is courtous and helpful ... Enjoy!

City of Phoenix owns it now, but it used to be the Spring Training home of the Oakland A's before they got their new "digs" ... Softball Complex is at the corner of Charles O. Finley Dr. and Walter A. Haas, Jr. Way (Not kidding!) ... Google Earth picture was taken in January, which is the "dormant" season for grass growing in Arizona ... It should be lush and green during tournament time ... Property to the north of the park is a National Guard military facility ...

Dave is not correct. He was not a youngster in the 70's.

Hola Mr Dowell,

I for one am Very Happy to be Playing at Papago Park, but I'm also Curious to Understand the Logic/Reason for Segregating LAF 50M+ and AZ Elite 55M+ from the 50+ Platinum Bracket? I don't Believe AZ Elite should Spot Runs, and we Certainly Wouldn't Expect to Receive Runs either. I'd also find it Hard to Believe any of these Younger 50+ Teams would Oppose to Keeping our 55+ Team in the same Bracket. But Heck, What do I know! Again, Just Curious ? ? ?
