| Oct. 30, 2016 zoomer9 7 posts | field of choice for winter world,phoenix if you had a choice, what field, or fields, would you prefer to play on in the winter world tournament? and what is the least liked one? which ones are in the not so good neighborhoods also.. thanks for any info.. |

Phoenix has, top to bottom, arguably the finest collection of multiple softball complexes of any metropolitan area in the country ... The "worst" in Phoenix is better than the "best" in a whole bunch of other places! ... Have fun! |
| Oct. 30, 2016 Dbax Men's 65 2100 posts | I've lived here since 1967 and played everywhere. Here is my opinion. Rose Mofford is best, followed closely by Papago. Desert West and Caesar Chavez are fine, but in questionable neighborhoods. I have never had problems at either one. Victory Lane is also nice, but showing wear and tear. Still not bad. I haven't played at Saguaro lately, but last time I was there the outfield had a lot of weeds. Mountain View is in a great location and the fields are fine. Like Dave said nothing here like Shadow Rock in Vegas. Banned in Arizona |
| Oct. 30, 2016 Joncon 328 posts | The Phoenix area does have a LOT of NICE fields. The only one in a bad neighborhood is Desert West and it's still a nice park,except for the lights. |

EXCELLENT • Thompson Peak/Grayhawk (4) and Vista del Camino (3) in Scottsdale and Big League Dreams (8) in Gilbert VERY GOOD • Horizon Park (4) and Chaparral Park (4) in Scotsdale and Rio Vista (4) in Peoria Dbax - I didn't say nuttin' about (half of) Shadow Rock in Vegas!! |
| Oct. 31, 2016 Benji4 Men's 55 289 posts | DC Saguaro was remodeled a few tears back and is very nice now. Good dirt and moved the fences back a few feet. I would say Saguaro and the new park in Peoria are the nicest behind BLD in Gilbert. |
| Oct. 31, 2016 HAT MAN Men's 50 229 posts | If I had my pick I would say Saguaro. Really tough to say though. All have pros and cons. DW has the worst location but only have issues late at night. BLD is falling apart, fences are short and everything is pricey. Rose Mofford is basic but nice and you have several hotels in walking distance to park. Vicroy Lane is nice but far from everything. Papago is nice with a cool backdrop and close to scottsdale for the out of state fellas. Rio Vista sucks. If i had to pick worst park it would be BLD. |
| Oct. 31, 2016 Hitemdeep 44 posts | Peoria hands down the best fields out here. usually only utrip plays there. Dwest crappy part of town. Cars get broken into every time were out there. Saguaro pretty nice since remodeled. seems like every time were scheduled there games get moved though. Rose mofford is nice except for short infields with a big lip not good for seniors and infielders because you wanna play deeper and you drop down a foot when you do scary hops. Most of the fields out here very playable. No turf anywhere. Bld has become crap. |
