| Oct. 30, 2016 SSUSA Staff 3483 posts | WINTER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016 DRAFT Game Schedules & Brackets DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for SESSION #1 (Men's 65+ through 85+ Divisions) of the 2016 Winter World Championships in Phoenix, AZ, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament Page ... As always, these DRAFT schedules are TENTATIVE, are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting the evening before play commences ... NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are frozen as of the Managers Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed, as all roster changes were previously approved through the Sacramento home office ... Managers who do not attend the Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director. The Participating Teams List and the Master Games & Fields Grid for the session have also been posted ... Good luck to all! | Nov. 1, 2016 SSUSA Staff 3483 posts | SESSION #1 REVISIONS @ ROSE MOFFORD Due to a roster composition based rating change, one team (Sidewinders 75's) was moved from 75-AAA to 75-MAJOR ... This required revisions to both Division schedules (and had a minor impact on the Thursday start for the 65-MAJOR+ bracket) ... Revisions are online ... Good luck! |
| Nov. 1, 2016 SSUSA Staff 3483 posts | SESSION #1 ADDITIONAL REVISIONS @ ROSE MOFFORD Due to a late team withdrawal (Fairway Ford 80's) and another roster composition based rating change (New Concepts I was moved from 75-AAA to 75-MAJOR), further revisions were required for the 75+ and 80+ Division schedules ... Revisions are online ... Good luck! |

The caveats mentioned in the initial post of this thread regarding SESSION #1 apply here as well ... TOURNAMENT TIDBITS The 2016 edition of the Winter World Championships shattered last year's tournament record (178) by 32 teams and is the second most attended event of the 2016 calendar year ... It surpassed both Rock 'n Reno (200) and the Southwest Championships (194) ... The SESSION #2 attendance (145) is also larger than three of the four sessions of the 2016 World Masters Championships ... Thank you and good luck! | Nov. 9, 2016 SSUSA Staff 3483 posts | SESSION #1 REVISION @ DESERT WEST Due to a late withdrawal of a 70-AA team (Doughboys - NV), the 70-Silver Division was reduced from eight to seven teams and the 70-AA Division collapsed ... The new format is a two-game round robin to seed a three-game-guarantee bracket ... NO other Divisions of play at Desert West were affected ... Revisions are online ... Good luck! |
| Nov. 14, 2016 SSUSA Staff 3483 posts | SESSION #2 REVISION @ CHAPARRAL PARK Due to the late withdrawal of a 40-MAJOR team (T's Train/Miken - CA), the 40-Masters Division was reduced from 18 to 17 teams ... The 40-Major bracket was re-drafted to an 11-team three-game-guarantee bracket and Friday mixed pool play was revised accordingly ... Revisions are online ... Good luck! |
| Nov. 17, 2016 SSUSA Staff 3483 posts | SESSION #2 REVISION @ DESERT WEST PARK Due to the Wednesday withdrawal of a 50-AAA team (The Thunder - NM), the 50-AAA Division was reduced from 23 to 22 teams ... The bracket was re-drafted to a 22-team three-game-guarantee bracket and Friday seeding pool play was revised accordingly ... No team plays EARLIER than as originally scheduled but ONE team (Oregon Elite) starts one round LATER ... Some field numbers, but NOT times, were changed ... Revisions are online ... Good luck! |
