Good Morning,

Trying to plan a vacation in March. Best guess for the Spring National in St. George March 31, April 1 & 2?

Thanks

TENTATIVE dates for the 2017 Spring World's in St. George, UT, and possibly Mesquite, NV • SESSION #1 (65+ and older) is Tuesday-Thursday, March 21-23 • SESSION #2 (60+ and younger, except for 40-Masters) is Friday-Sunday, March 24-26 ... Spring "National's" are in Florida ...

I believe a team can have as many next higher rated players on a team, but only three can be on the roster for tournaments. Depending how may players the manager wants to have available, it seems most teams have 3-5 next level players on call.

Hat Man - no major + may play AAA Rule 4.2 (7) page 23 and I think Dan is correct in that 3 majors can be on a AAA roster for tournaments. Go to Team Rating Index under rules for more explanation

HAT MAN ... Any team below Major+ may have no more than three players with qualifying rating experience history of the next higher level than the team they seek to join ... In the same age group: AA may have up to three AAA, AAA may have up to three Major and Major may have up to three Major+ ... In NO event may Major+ history players play at the AAA or AA level in the same age group ... The same prohibition would preclude a Major history player playing at AA in the same age group ...

DieselDan ... That presumption is incorrect ... The player rating experience history limitations apply to the entire master roster ... A team may NOT stockpile more than three out of rating players to say that they will only bring three to any given tournament ... The most common "trick" is to attempt to "drop/add" at the higher level like a little roster shell game ... We're getting better at catching on to that one ...

We arent there. the way i see it in the 40s is AAA has 2 or 3 guys with at will HR power.... major has 4 or 5 guys that can at will HRs and Major plus has 8-10 .
Our team is at the top end of AAA and just below the middle in major. Sometimes we can compete then other times we cant score consistently.

Maybe in 2018 or 19 we might get there.
