Evil Ball on Guide Rope, excellent trainer you can make and use anywhere Swing Makeover #46
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8Tz-nazLjY

If you want to get in alot of reps in an easy fashion, this is a great tool. It combines a guiderope which has a bunge on one end, dog clip on another. It has a 44 375 style ball with a half inch hole thru the middle. When set up properly, the guide rope helps you swing at a level to slightly up angle, and if you swing under the rope, you will cut thru the ball with a good snap and the ball will fly to the other end. It gives immediate feedback, because if you golf under the ball, or cleave it too radically, it shows a popup or flyout, and just bounces up and down on the rope. Allows you to train and get dozens of swings daily and there is a variety of drills you can do indoors, at the field or in your yard.

I really like your videos.
Very informative.
And very well done!

However, I have a question.

I get the impression that you want your students to swing their bats like a gate or screen door. Maybe I'm not understanding but it appears that the swing being shown in the videos is not a compact swing, but rather a round house. Do you have students stand about 3 feet and parallel from a fence and swing their bats missing the fence.

I appreciate and info or example you may provide about how the swing is supposed to be done.

Thanks

No, while we extensively teach rotation of hips and shoulders, we want a lag and snap or tomahawking overnsap, at a level to slight up angle to cut thru the part of the ball you wish to attack. This involves arm extension and wrist torque within the rotation. Swing makeover episodes #41, #33 and #19 extenively discuss and talk about drilling this.
