Well here we go again...the first big tourney is on the horizon and now, suddenly, ya can't use the very bats you quite possibly have been using for the last year!!! I understand the attorneys have to get their due in every facet of your life and I understand product liability....but, this is going from the sublime to the ri·dic·u·lous!!! In live ball I can see a wood bat breaking and skewering another player or fan, or maybe even a BBCOR bat breaking under stress. When was the last time a defective slowpitch softball bat caused $10 MILLION injuries? If it's liability you're worried about look at the field conditions in places like say, perhaps F.O.D. in Vegas...that rug is a blown out knee or broken ankle waiting to happen. LOL, LOL, LOL. Plus, product liability aside in our society EVERYONE remotely associated with the "activity" will get sued. In our case umpires, facility owners, associations putting on the function, emergency personnel responding to the emergency and on and on and on. Quite frankly it's much safer to merely hide under your bed at home.
