March 17, 2017 johnnycee 3 posts | obstruction A batter pops the ball up in foul territory. The ball is about to land right in the on-deck circle. Does the on-deck batter need to make a reasonable effort to get out of the way? If he doesn't move at all and the catcher or corner infielder can't make the catch, can the umpire rule the batter out? |
