| April 14, 2017 OldGymRat Men's 70 4 posts | Adding New Players Want to go to Loudoun tourney in May. Carolina Blue Sky 75's has qualified. Team got blitzed recently as to losing players. Looks like we cannot add players unless we filed newbies by Jan 2017, per rules. Have only 10 available to go and need to add 3, possibly 4. Those four did not play with us at the August qualifier and were not added to the roster in Jan by the manager. They have been playing with us with us since Myrtle Beach in March. Any chance in getting them eligible? Not trying to game the system, just trying to get a decent and reasonably compettive team there. Otherwise, we're toast. Thanks, Joe |
| April 16, 2017 TimMcElroy 942 posts | OldGymRat, I detect some confusion here. Is it possible that you are reading from the roster composition rules of the ACTUAL Tournament of Champions? If so, please understand that there are different (less stringent) rules for participating in a TOC qualifying event. If you do earn a berth to the TOC, the rules for adding players for that specific event change a bit. As long as your players meet the established age and geographic requirements there should be no issue. I hope to see you in Loudoun County. |
