Home plate mat dimensions
Got tired of waiting for the rules to load up on ssusa and spa sites.....I know one of you die hards know the dimensions of the home plate mat, for both associations. Gonna take a nap and check later. Thanks

HOME PLATE • Front: 17" ... Fair-territory Sides: 8.5" ... Foul-line Sides: 12" (tapered to a point at the intersection of the foul lines); and
STRIKE MAT (SSUSA specifications) • Rectangular rubber mat 34½" deep by 19" wide, aligned with the front edge of the Home Plate and extending 1" on either side ...

STRIKE ZONE MAT (SPA specifications): The mat will measure 21 inches wide and 35 inches long with a white home plate centered at the front of the mat that measures 17 inches across the front, eight and one-half inches down each side and 12 inches diagonally to a point nearest the catcher. The white area will be referred to as home plate.

Softballgal ... The STRIKE MAT DIMENSION for SSUSA is in the second post of this thread ...

STRIKE MAT (SSUSA specifications) • Rectangular rubber mat 34½" deep by 19" wide, aligned with the front edge of the Home Plate and extending 1" on either side ...

To our knowledge, they are not commercially available for SSUSA specifications ... We have an arrangement with a rubber fabrication firm in Sacramento, but about anyone can cut them ... The most common "base material" is truck mud flap stock or restaurant kitchen mat stock ...
