Prayers needed
I just found out yesterday that my friend and teammate Mike Ayo "Shark" to all of us, is in the final stages of hospice and will soon be playing outfield on God's team. Those of us that know him, played with him, and love him for the person he is are losing 'one of the good guys'. Your prayers are appreciated.

Father of goodness and Love, Hear our prayers, we pray that YOU will lay your healing Hands upon Mike Ayo, his family and friends. We beg You to have compassion on all those who are sufferings, may they find consolation in your healing presence.
Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast sprits.
Help Mike discover your peace. Help him to be at rest knowing that You care for him, and that You Love him.
AND if it is Your will that Mike joins you my Lord, calm his soul as he move into the afterlife.
May he spend eternity with you, may he live forever in your presence.
For Mike’s Family & Friends, help them find their joy in You, for it's Your joy that will be their strength. Help them to trust You as their God of hope. Fill them with Your joy, peace, and hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

I only played with Mike for one summer but I thought he was a great guy/team mate. My prayers go out to the family and to Mike for a smooth ride going forward.

Mike started last night late in left field for the Lord's team, and I understand that in his first at bat, as in life, he hit a home run. He will be missed, but remembered by all that loved him. Good bye for now, my friend.

Mike was not only a teammate but a good friend to many. He fought a courageous battle for the last few months and just like on the field, refused to give up until the last out. He had many friends and family with him his last few days, giving him the kind of support he gave others. Mike was there for me and my wife when I was going through my medical problems, willing to do anything and everything for us.
He will be sorely missed, I loved him like a brother. RIP my friend...

On another note, I want to personally thank Johnny "Hose" Amjel for all he has done for Mike. John has earned a new respect from me in a way words can't describe.
