Senior Softball Tournament Prizes
Please consider increasing the value of the prizes (money/gifts) you hand out for our tournaments.

I'm on a AAA team which placed 2nd in your Las Vegas largest qualifier tournament ever with 214 teams. We played for 3 days, as other teams, in one of our most prestigious tournament only to win a hat for 2nd place. The 1st place team received a small bag. How much money does your organization need to make as entry fees keep increasing and money spent on Our Organization prizes keep decreasing? C'mon man!

big prize packs have changed over the last 10 years everywhere. Im in it to play and the memories but I do wonder though why there cant be a little more.

Suggestions since multiple vendors are often not allowed at events why cant the vendor provide prizes.

Ex Elite could easily make quick full dye champions shirts and sub dye 2nd.

At worlds and big events the big bat companies could easily give a few bats to the winners.

pullovers pacific headwear caps, case of balls, coolers hell even a 30 pack

a little more can go a long way.

Here we go with the awards again. All my trophies are collecting dust in the garages, shirts are rags, and anything else is in the garbage.

Play for the love of the game, who cares what we win. it's all about the journey and the competition at the end of the day.

Have Fun!!!!

This wouldn't be an issue if it didn't cost so much to play. $595 for Southwest Championships! $740 for Worlds? Holy Cow!

Don't know if this will cause some issues but don't care. ISSA at least gives out windbreakers and plaques to the tournament MVP, just a bit nicer than the patches.

I have received travel bags in the past from SSUSA, have seen any given out in the last 3 or 4 years.

just my two cents.

I think Geritol, Bengay ointment and Viagra would be perfect prize package at our age. LOL.

Best awards I've ever received is a travel leather bag for a "B" state tourney and two years in a row 2nd place at Incline Village Booster tourney won large shower towels (Both were 20 years ago). Now I don't care what we win when I play, I'm just happy to play

Don't mind the hats or bags but, Print/identify them specific to the Tournament you are playing.ie "Champions Vegas Worlds" Today it's the same red hat for every tourney with SSUSA on them.

Yes prize packages are weak for the tournaments I've played in the past especially for the amount of money paid for entry fees. Not so worried about trophies, but when players are playing for 2-3 days it would be nice to get a shirt, wind-breaker, or bat bags for wining the tournament. Second place should definitely get at least shirts.
*Although we did get nice wind-breakers for winning the VA beach tournament this year, I guess it depends on who is running the tourney. Thanks Timmy!

The last 2 tournaments we won bat bags and Addidas Dri-fits. Both prizes were pretty good quality items. I know we appreciated them because it was 5 years of blood, sweat, and tears since our last tournament victory. I can't honestly say how I'd react to winning a small bag, but I'd probably find something to put in it when I got home. Prizes have been hit or miss for years- not just with SSUSA, and it'll continue to be long after we're gone.

IMO- SSUSA is hosting tournament events in areas that are less profitable than others. I don't claim to know their overhead, or the costs associated with their endeavor. But I do know they are trying to give us, and others like us, an opportunity to continue playing this game closer to home at least once a year. I live on the California coast and most tournaments are at least 5/6 hours away- like Las Vegas, Phoenix 6/7 hours, and Mesquite 7/8 hours. So we appreciate them hosting the So Cal Championships, which is only 2.5 hours away. The TOC can't be a huge moneymaker either- all winners get rings, the banquet they host, etc.... I think the major TOC events help fund the smaller more local TOC events that SSUSA hosts to help grow their organization.

I don't have a problem with SSUSA trying to make a profit, and they've been accommodating to us when we've presented them with feedback in a positive way.

Our team won the Vegas master world tournament in the 3A division this past year, no shirt, no medal, no bag of goodies, we did get a nice ring I must say but its not something I will wear daily and like a trophy it will go in my wife's jewelry case and forgotten, one of them 50.00 masters shirts would have been nice.

My team ( gem city merchants ) had a losing record in 2016 playing majors , we had 10 guys fly out to Vegas for Vegas worlds ,at the end of the year . won 8 games , played some fantastic teams , and have a memory I'll never forget ,winning it all . the ring sits in a drawer ( very nice btw) , No prize can replace that feeling ,playing with friends , in a well run tournament , against great teams ...with great wives and family watching , I've never played on a world championship team , we haven't won a single game in 2017 playing major plus , but would not trade a second of the experience ..... sorry for rambling , but the prize was the experience and friendship
