Has anyone used a lower back support playing softball? Seen the leather belts used by Power Lifters but they almost look to rigid for trying to play softball. Any suggestions?
Spend some time searching on line, check out your local sports store, pharmacy, and visit a medical store. Depending how athletic you are and how much flexibility you want to sacrifice, you should find a good product. If not doing so already, start doing some core work and always stretch before any activity.
Davey Reed wears a support and kills the ball. Check which one he wears..
I use the Pro orthopedic back brace & it works great. www.proorthopedic.com
Having had back problem for years and have used many different braces it would mainly depend on the reason you are looking for one. Remember for hitting you want something flexible and not stiff.
I HAVE PLAYED WITH A BAD BACK SINCE MY LATE 20'S. TWO BACK SURGERIES AT L4-L5 AND I AM STILL OUT HERE WHACKING IT AROUND. ONE OF THE REASONS IS I ALWAYS WEAR A BACK BRACE. THE BEST ONE I HAVE FOUND IS ON BETTERBRACES.COM . CLICK ON THE "ALL BACK BRACES" CATEGORY AND LOOK FOR THE SHORTS AND BRACE ALL IN ONE. ITS THE ONLY ONE I HAVE FOUND THAT STAYS IN PLACE ALL DAY AND REMAINS COMFORTABLE AS WELL. COMPRESSION SHORTS WITH KIND OF AN OVERGROWN WAISTBAND BRACE, WITH AN ADJUSTABLE EXTRA BRACE THAT CAN BE MOVED UP OR DOWN AND TIGHTENED OR LOOSENED USING HEAVY DUTY VELCRO. I JUST RECEIVED TWO NEW PAIRS FOR THIS YEAR. SIZING RUNS FAIRLY ACCURATE, JUST DON'T ERR ON THE SMALL SIDE. SHORTS EVEN HAVE A FLY IN THEM!!
