Lights Out 55AA
Can someone please tell me why Lights Out 55AA has not been rerated to 55AAA...they are allowed to play in 55AAA brackets, take the 5 runs that the AAA or higher level team must give the AA team...this team is allowed this advantage and thusly is winning games because of this....Im sure that any of the AAA teams that will read this and that have played Lights Out will agree that they are not a AA team and should be rerated as such to AAA...the AAA teams that play Lights Out 55AA are forced to change the way they play their game as the offense becomes lesser for the AAA team to the benefit of this AA team...giving 5 runs and limited to 2 homeruns is really an advantage to Lights Out....the AAA teams should not be penalized when playing this team,as Lights Out is certainly getting over on the rating system...

Magsdad ... We respectfully disagree with your conclusion about Lights Out 55 ... Their "cross-rating" game results with the 55-AAA at the LVSSA/SSUSA Southwest Championships last month does not yield data to support your opinion ... They were 1-2 in pool play against 55-AAA teams, losing 14-15 (or 9-15 w/out the equalizer), winning 23-20 (or losing 18-20 w/o the equalizer) and losing 10-19 (or 5-19 w/out the equalizer) ... Absent the equalizers, they would have been 0-3 with an average run differential of -7.33 runs per game ... Had they already been rated 55-AAA, that scoring data, with limited results, would support a rating reduction to 55-AA, which is where they are currently ...

I manage the Oxnard Rookies, and we play Lights Out multiple times per year. I know that when we play up to our potenial- we usually win by 10 or more runs. They are picking up some better players, but they are rated correctly IMO. For the record, they have beat us a few times with the equalizer. And they beat us once without it. But I think once they start scoring 17-18 runs consistently, or win the Worlds- they should stay put.
