Runs for lower ranking teams
When giving up runs (5) to a lower ranking (AAA-AA) team in the seeding round, does that count when adding up runs allowed for pool play seeding or is it subtracted from the higher ranking team for pool play ranking?

The "aggregate runs allowed" calculation for the tie-breaker includes equalizer runs given by the higher ranked (or younger) team ...

When playing lower rated teams, I think they should have to earn those five runs, not just be given to them. They can keep scoring in any inning until a maximum of five extra runs have been scored during the game. For example, inning one they score seven, that's two runs toward the five. Or they can score ten that inning to get the extra five runs per game. Make them earn it. Because the higher ranked team is already limited to the lower ranked run limit per inning and must abide by the lower ranked home run rules. It's a double "penalty" plus giving them 5 runs. I'd like to see some statistics on these games. Seems like Major teams beat MP teams 75% of the time under the current format.

I agree somthing should be done , but it won't . Here in Midwest we have very few if any major plus teams . We've played in 4 tournaments so far this year , and no other major plus team played . We have not won a game so far this year , we're not a bad team , but there's not much difference between major and major plus teams , and We give runs , plus play by the lower class rules , it's making for a long year .....

I agree with PMR131 it's a "double penalty" to give up runs and play with the Homerun limit of the the lower rated team. It should be ....play straight up with the lower rated teams Homerun limit or if they take the runs the Homerun limit of the higher rated team!!! Just my 2 cents lol

I agree PMR131, just play by the lower rated team rules straight up. Why "give"anything!?
