I know of several teams from the NM/EP senior league will be present. Also a few from other parts of NM this is what I've heard from around the league who will be attending. | June 12, 2017 HAT MAN Men's 50 229 posts | mad dog its up. Any chance we can get the El Paso 40s team to come to Tucson to play since there are only 4 team and 3 are from Tucson AZ. Hell between the 3 Tucson teams we can pay your hotels and still save money lol. No fault of SSUSA but sad that a big state like Texas cant get teams to play in their own state championship. |

| June 12, 2017 L.Martin Men's 50 47 posts | Just to far for most of the teams from Texas except the West Texas based teams, of all the places to have our state tournament that had to be the worst location. It's over 600 miles from the DFW area, that's like us going to either KC or ABQ. We ( Escobar Body Shop ) would love to play, just to far for us. |

| June 13, 2017 boston Men's 60 355 posts | I agree Dave many of us in the El Paso/ Las Cruces area have traveled to Dallas, Austin, Houston, Georgetown, Bourne to play tournaments. We usually weren't impressed with the quality of the fields, the brutal humidity and horrible traffic. But we endured and went anyway. It appears there are 21 teams from either El Paso, NM and Az. 40's Div. 4 total teams 1-EP, 3-Az. 50's Div. 12 teams total 3-EP, 4-NM, 1-Az 55's Div. 6 total teams 1-EP, 3-NM 60's Div. 9 total teams 2-EP, 1_NM 65's Div 3 total teams all central/east Texas 70's Div. 1 team El PAso 75's Div. 1 team NM I know 21 teams isn't alot for a tournament but This tournay would do ok w/o east/central Tx. It's sad that teams from 2 other states make up 1/3 of the Texas State Championships because people would rather whine about distance than play in their own State Tournament. Then blame everyone else for their decision not to go to El Paso. Sam Houston must be rolling in his grave. |

I was trying to make a point that 8 teams were from El Paso and only 15 other Texas teams decided to make the trip. Which is basically equivilent to the teams coming from NM and Az. |
