Team ratings
Please help me understand the way the ratings are figured out? Why is it possible to play a team at the Major level in one tournament, and lose to them twice, yet at the next tournament they are listed as a AAA team? That means we now have to give runs to a team that beat us twice, a month earlier. There's only 2 teams in Major for Roanoke so we have to play the AAA teams.

Stripersonline ... We're not sure what to make of your post ... SSUSA does not have a sanctioned tournament upcoming in Roanoke ... Possibly another sanctioning association? ... And if so, maybe your inquiry would get a better response if submitted to them ... SSUSA and SPA consult regularly and are relatively consistent in their rankings, but that's not the case with the third principal seniors association ... Good luck! ...

Stripersonline - As stated by SSUSA, some teams are rated differently in SSUSA/SPA than ISSA. Usually SSUSA will "move you up" based on either a result (say winning Vegas or SPA national) or your roster make up. ISSA tends to move up based on their own criteria and as stated, they don't always follow each other. Ex. 50 AAA team won Smokey by 10 runs per game and they are now a Major team. SSUSA as per their ratings guidelines will give you 3 tourneys to see how you fare as opposed to having 1 GREAT weekend before moving you up (UNLESS it happens to be Vegas, then welcome to being moved up! :-)

Hope this helps!

And you might not have to play 55AAA in Roanoke, you could possibly play the 1 50 M and 2 55M+ teams and now you will get runs!

That 50 AAA team had 6 listed Major players on the roster.

Generally, if some teams spent, say, about 10% of the time they spend worrying about other teams on their own team, they would have a better ball club ... Again, this appears to be a rating issue involving another association and, as such, should be pursued with that association, on something other than an anonymous basis ...
