Want to Thank the Director for his hospitality and running a great event. While we wished we had more teams the brackets were organized and things ran well. Umpires were above standard and a nice full sub jersey for winning it was a welcomed touch.

I was impressed with both the director and an umpire with their willingness to be up front an honest on a ruling that was not correctly enforced at the time.

In our winners bracket final game there was a play at home where the runner was called out based on his entire foot was not over the line at the time the the catcher caught the ball. When I asked the umpire for his reason for the out call he showed me the runner's footprint where only half of his foot was over the line. I asked the ump if he would call the director due to a rules interpretation and he was polite and said sure. The ruling stood from the director as an out. After that game the director took it upon himself to confirm the the line rule and had realized he was wrong. As long as any part of the runner's foot touches that line before the catch he is safe.
After the game both the director and umpire took the time to tell us they made a mistake and advised of the correct call. This didn't have to happen but it did and INTEGRITY goes a long way with our team so thank you for that.
Nice complex in El Paso just seemed like they ran out of funds and used poor quality dirt and no foul lines or poles for the umps to use.
Thanks for having us Texas

Hats off to the tournament director Don Brooks for running a great tourney. Also would like to compliment the umpires that did a fantastic job at all the games I played in and watched. The SportsPlex staff was also very friendly and did a great job. Well done El Paso
I would personally like to compliment Manifest 50AA. A great group from Austin that played well and beat 55AAA and 60 Major teams to make it to the championship game in their division. They were deserving of a TOC birth but being the only 50AA team fell short. It was a pleasure meeting you and playing against you.
