| July 19, 2017 Crash1 Men's 60 9 posts | Rosen Bag On the Field Just wondering? The last two tournaments we played in very hot and humid weather. Our middle infielders had difficulty gripping the ball and it cost us several double plays. Is it legal to have a rosen bag, say just on the outfield grass behind second base? Does SSUSA have a rule regarding this? Or does anyone have a better solution to the sweaty palms in humid weather problem. Thanks |
| July 19, 2017 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | Crash1 ... There's nothing in the SSUSA Rule Book that prohibits a rosin bag being available for use ... And it won't be a problem, of course, until the first time a batted ball hits it or a base runner or fielder trips over it! ... We're inclined to approve it, with maybe placing it on the outfield side of second base being a workable location ... Interesting question ... Thanks! |
