| Aug. 31, 2017 KP&R 22 posts | Gentleman,it is with both disappointment and frustration that the City of Kingman has been forced to cancel our Route 66 Kingman Classic Senior Softball Tournament. Due to a massive mechanical failure of the City’s main water well, we have been unable to irrigate our fields for more than 3 weeks. This lack of water, combined with unseasonable 100+ degree temperatures degraded our softball and baseball fields and made them unsafe for play. Please understand that we are as disappointed as you must be at this unfortunate turn of events. Of course, all team registration fees will be refunded as quickly as possible. We expect this mechanical problem to be solved in the next couple of weeks, and our facilities to be back in back in their normal championship caliber state shortly thereafter. We sincerely appreciate your interest in the City of Kingman’s Senior Softball program, and we vow that we will bounce back from this set back.
