what happens
What happens when no team in a certain age bracket and division goes to the eastern or western conference tournament, how is it determined who will represent conference.

Just a question

Here's another twist on that. My team won the Western Nationals a few years ago and we were excited about playing the Eastern champion for the National championship (and getting a top seed for the winner). The Eastern champions didn't show...no game...no national championship...no top seeding (we argued that it was a forfeit but I guess we weren't persuasive). Looks like the Western 55 major plus champions will have the same disappointment.

Here is the policy for the USA National Championship Games at the LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships [WMC] in Las Vegas ...

• There will be a USA National Championship Game for each age group and division if BOTH the Eastern National and Western National Champion attend the WMC AND if the WMC Bracket is five (5) or more teams (the size of the bracket in the Easterns or Westerns is irrelevant) ... If an Eastern or Western champion is not attending, an invite to the USA National Game will be extended to the Runner-up in that division if they are attending the WMC ...
• The game will be a full seven-inning format and will be specifically arranged outside of the normal seeding games schedule generation ... The winner of the game will be awarded the #1 Seed and the loser will be awarded the #2 Seed ... This is because the game is not a random match-up and not subject to time limits like all other seeding games, which could yield unfair results to BOTH teams ... In 2011 before the #1/#2-Seed award was instituted, the 50-AAA USA National Championship game had 5150's (CA) defeating Eagle Tile/Who's on 1st (MD) by a score of 30-26 in nine innings ... The extended game and the Runs Allowed tie-breaker caused the 5150's to be seeded #9 (of the nine unbeaten teams) and Eagle Tile to be seeded #29 (of the 29 teams in the bracket)
• If there is NO USA National Championship Game because of a lack of an Eastern or Western representative, ALL teams in the division will seed "normally" into the bracket based on seeding game performance ... NOTE: A default USA National Champion does NOT automatically receive the #1 seed in the bracket ... In the example cited above (Eastern 55-Major+ this week), there were two 55-Major+ teams originally entered, but both withdrew within a couple of hours of each other just prior to the schedule generation) ...
