In a general qualifier situation, a 55-Major+ (R/I=8) player could play on a 50-AAA (R/I=7) team as one of the three allowable "out of rating" players permitted on the roster ... However, if you are asking in the context of trying to be added to a 50-AAA team for the upcoming World Masters Championships in Las Vegas, the answer is NO ... Teams applying to add "roster exemption players" for the WMC may not add ANY player(s) with a rating index greater than the team's index ... As always, if this is more than a random "theory question", please call the Sacramento Office at (916) 326.5303 during normal business hours on the Left Coast and speak with one of the eligibility specialists ...
