The stuff you never use
My wife has volunteered for the past ten years for an organization called Project Dignity. Every Sunday, she assists in a Kid’s Club Program (Arts, Crafts, Games) for motel children. For my part, I usually help on the back end, cutting up watermelon, help with some of the prep for the crafts, tote this move that. Having a male presence at the site is not always conducive to attendance so I do what my wife tells me and it works for everybody. I believe, we all have groups or organizations that are special to us and we support whether as a volunteer or sponsor. For that reason I am NOT asking for money, but rather, what I am asking for is the stuff you may or do not use.

When we travel to a tourney most of the time, we bring our own toiletries, soap, shampoo (my wife, I do not need it), conditioner and such. For those players staying at hotels where they provide toiletries and you do not use them, please stick them in your bag and bring it to the ball park. I will have my little red wagon with a bag that you can drop your stuff in. We will take what we get and make up packages for the motel families. Again, I emphasize with a passion no money, no food, just stuff that you are not going to use.

My little red wagon and me will be here for the remainder of the 2017 season:

San Clemente Aug 18-20 SW Bandits 60M; Hemet Sept 10 OTE 65M; Vegas Worlds Sept 22-24 SW Bandits 60M Sept 25-28 OTE 65M

Clarification, the little red wagon and I will not be in Hemet Sept 10. For most of our marriage, I can say with some confidence, I always win the gift exchange on our anniversary. Meaning I get her something better than she gets me and that makes me happy. Not that I am competitive, HA!, but I love making her happy.....I can now say with complete confidence, I may have won a few battles, but she pulled a GOT and brought the dragons to a sword fight. Instead of attending a Trace Atkins concert with our entire family, Dawn and I will be in a suite on the 50 yard line at Lambeau Field watching Seahawks and Packers. I might be 18-1, but her one is epic.

Red Wagon will be in San Clemente Aug 18-20 SW Bandits 60M; Vegas Worlds Sept 22-24 SW Bandits 60M Sept 25-28 OTE 65M.

Thank you to those who brought toiletries to the tournament in San Clemente for the Project Dignity packets.

Red Wagon will be at Desert Breeze in Vegas for the Worlds Sept 22-24. I will be playing with the SW Bandits 60M. Please introduce yourself to my wife, Dawn or myself. Just for the record, she is the superstar. There will be a silver bag in the red wagon for the toiletries.

As soon as we know where the 65 Majors will be playing I will update red wagon location. Session 2, Sept 25-28, I will be playing with OTE 65 Major. Dawn will not be there, but please introduce yourself.

Remember no money!!!! We are asking for travel size toiletries, soap, shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste, tooth brushes and such. We try to keep the packets consistent in size and content. The packets are distributed during the Kids Club Program on Sunday afternoons at the motel they are visiting. (http://projectdignity.org)

Thank you for your support.

No, but thank you. No old to play 50's and too young to retire.

Little red wagon - Project Dignity, the last couple softball tournaments we’ve asked people to bring the stuff they don’t use. Toiletries from the hotels they are staying at while attending the tournament.

This is our first delivery. Today Dawn has craft day and she’s taking these two boxes for the families at the hotels. We collected soap, shampoo conditioner, lotion, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and Q-tips we are very appreciative of the generosity of those who contributed.

Dawn Adair,

Mike Adair, my better 1/2 or 3/4 or maybe I just get to tag along with her.
