I play ball with Hal in Florida. He is a solid player and a great guy. If anyone out there has had experience with vertebrae fusion or this type of procedure, PLEASE chime in and give Hal some feedback. Quite a few of us care about this man and your input is gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,

Fenway,

I had neck fusion (C5-6-7)this past October. I have returned to doing everything I had done prior to surgery. I am pain free, able to throw, hit, run as good as ever.

Fenway,

I had C5,6 and 7 neck fusion done in Spring, 2016. Was able to play in Fall 2016 without any real issues. The pain I experienced down my right shoulder, arm and fingers went away, but the tingling and numbness I had in the index and 2nd fingers lingered on. The tingling is now gone, but the numbness remains, so if you are also experiencing those symptoms in your fingers, you may have them lingering on.

You may also experience clicking sounds when moving your neck around, but they should go away or be minimal about a year after the surgery.

Hope that sheds some light, and here's to a successful recovery.
