Question:

With the Chaos in Florida, I called the LaQuinta. Asked if team members reservations for Nov. would be good. What if all the rooms are taken up by people who lost their homes and need a place to stay during rebuilding? They don't know how they would handle it as of now. Even if the weather is perfect, will there lodging for teams that come from outside Florida?

Maybe SSUSA should contact various preferred Hotels/Motels and see how they might handle this situation. Would this effect even having the tournament?

And maybe we should sit tight for a bit longer and let the people of Florida regain some semblance of normalcy in their lives while they deal with much higher priorities than a softball tournament ... We will not be making any private inquiries or public statements for the foreseeable short-term future ... And we anticipate that, facilities being intact, there will be a Winter Nationals 2017 ... The weather impacts on the event will be better analyzed with 20-20 hindsight ...
