2017 SSUSA Senior Masters
This past week was an enjoyable week as I got to see a lot of old friends. In various age groups as well. If it was to just shoot the shit with some of them, it was great shit shooting… Ha! Ha!. See where we all are 20 to 25 years later. The one good thing I noticed was how some of the players still have this game in their heart and soul.
I myself am happy to still be involved in something that I gave my full attention to while getting older. Softball all the time for over 40 years. Glad to be home and look forward to going to the Huntsman games in a couple of weeks.

I want to briefly talk about the new Worth Wicked bat that has been living up to all of the hype. If I did not believe that I would not post this. The bat itself has some unique points in its development.
The skinny handle provides a smoother flex in your swing from the start in your hands and that enhances the flex of the barrel.
The bat has a .05 ˝ oz. endload and that endload is not your usual endload where everything is at the very end of the barrel of this bat. The barrel is 13 inches and with the weight being distributed more evenly towards the end of the barrel it makes for an easy swing.
So I just want to say thanks for an enjoyable week of Senior Softball. If you have any questions you can email me at mike@bigcat844.com.. Take Care…

I am following up with a post about what you (the players) think about Miken/Worth's new bat called The Wicked. Give me some honest feedback about the bat if you were able to get your hands on one. Have had some great comments from some players. This is a chance to give me some one on one feedback about the product. This is the only way I can continue working to meet your demands. Thank You...

I will be hitting in batting practice today.. I will compare it to the gamer bats I have which are Dudleys.. The Wicked is in the wrapper so I will at least give you a fair shake and only compare to a game ready bat and a in the wrapper bat. I will also say something after 150 swings in a week or so.

I tried the Worth Wicked...like that thin handle and swing weight with the EL....closest thing that I have found to the ole Reebok Melee..

Mike, took it to BP today, I didn't have a great BP but the first few swings out of the wrapper were as hard as my gamer bats.. I put about 35 swings on it and the last ball I hit went about 360 ft... it looks promising after just 40 swings!

I went and hit with about 10 gents myself today in Brook Park. 1 got right around 100 swings on the 28 oz. Wicked I have ... I have a 26, and 27 for people to swing with me. I am starting in on the 2nd gear on this Wicked. I am getting a real nice Flex out of the barrel. The bat is really feeling good to me. I also took the new Patriot out to hit with the gang. I was in the middle of the field when one player went up and started hitting and I noticed he picked up the Patriot. I saw for myself and then hit it myself and the Patriot was hot right out of the wrapper. Now I don't say that too much. His first swing it went out. I did not notice what bat he was swinging. He had a very nice round of swings and came back past me and said I like that blue bat... So my last round I hit the Patriot... Nice feeling Senior bat fellas. The Patriot and the Wicked...... Just my opinion.

Mike, I just want say, don't you think that every 1.21 senior bat is hot out of the wrapper. I been asked many of time which bat to swing. I am in no way in your league when it comes to power, but I believe I work hard on my swing in the gym,at BP. With all that said I believe and tell everyone who ask which is the best bat out there, i say the one, you are most comfortable with in you hands.

I believe working out and BP at our age is more important than the bat. also there is one other thing i do and that is video tape my swings and try to stay consistent in my swing.

As mentioned a year or so ago, with all these "best bat ever used" comments about this time each year, one would think the power hitters must be reaching at least 500'. Of the bats I have in my closet, by different manufacturers, there are two I like the best. I will replace them with similar models.

If you know me then you will always here me say that the bats are senior bats. They are already hot being a 1.21. Videotaping your swing is great as well. Yes working out is the best thing you can do. And no the bat does not make the batter. Just get in the best shape you can and take bp. I agree with that. My comment of being hot right out of thee wrapper was referring to this player just picking this bat up and starting pounding with it. That is all. The player should always use what he is comfortable with.
