I looked at the 2017-18 rule book and did not see any reference to putting a limit on the number of walks allowed per inning. Our local league puts a limit of 2 walks per inning (intentional or non-intentional), and after 2 walks in the inning, the batter is only liable for strikes since balls are not counted. This continues until the batter gets 3 strikes or hits the ball to put it in play. This can take a long time, especially if the pitcher intentionally throws bad pitches to get the batter to swing at them. If anyone uses a limit on the walks per inning, what procedure do you use once the limit is reached? |

I guess the only limiting factor could be the five-run limit being reached, except for an open inning ... |
