| Nov. 3, 2017 SSUSA Staff 3484 posts | WINTER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017 DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for SESSION #1 of the SSUSA's 2017 Winter World Championships in Phoenix and Glendale, AZ, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament page ... As always, these DRAFT schedules are TENTATIVE, are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting before play commences ... NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are frozen as of the Managers Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed, as all roster changes were previously approved through the Sacramento home office ... Managers who do not attend the Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director. | Nov. 7, 2017 SSUSA Staff 3484 posts | SESSION #2 REVISIONS There have been numerous significant revisions required by the withdrawal of a 50-AAA team (Demolition 50's) and a Women's 40-Masters team (Tharaldson's) and a requested rating increase from AAA to Major by a Women's 50+ Seniors team (Jollico 50's) ... NOTE: While that type of request is somewhat rare, we honored it immediately in case any other teams may be so inclined ... Changes, either in pool play or bracket play, or both, were made to the following divisions: Men's 50-AAA (seeding and bracket) Men's 55-Major (bracket) Women's 40-Masters (seeding and bracket) Women's 50+ Seniors (seeding and bracket) Women's 55/60+ Seniors (bracket) Women's 70+ Seniors (bracket) All revisions are currently online ... The withdrawal collapsed the former 60-Major+ double elimination bracket ... There are minor changes on Friday to the late afternoon seeding games ... Texas Crush 60's play one time slot earlier than as originally proposed, but all other games remain unchanged ... The 60-Major+ division will now conclude on SATURDAY with a Best 3 of 5 Championship Series ... Despite the causation being completely outside of our control, we apologize for any inconveniences ... All changes have been posted online ... |
