| Nov. 7, 2017 Michigan Mike Men's 50 16 posts | Coming soon to a Senior tournament near you My name is Mike, I’m in Michigan (Detroit area), I’m 50, and I’m looking for a 50 plus tournament team to play on. If I don’t get picked up off this message board I’m going to start going to senior tournaments and walk around with my bat bag holding a sign that says “I don’t suck, give me a tryout to play outfield for your team”. I’ve got an RV and I’m ready to travel. Just give me a shot, a tryout, let me sub, let me shag flyes. I don’t want to let the 2018 summer go by without getting on a team. I played USSSA “E” tournaments with the youngsters until I was 45 and I miss the tournament atmosphere. I’ve got my USSSA bats, ASA bats and I’m more than happy to buy a SSUSA bat if I can find a team. Right now you’re probably saying to yourself, “Wow, this guy must be terrible if he can’t find a team that wants him”. Normally, I would agree with you if I saw a post like this. That is why all I’m asking for is a try-out to prove myself. If it’s not a good fit or I don’t play to the level you need just say the word and I’ll walk away (sobbing). I went to the Northern Worlds to scout the 50 and over AAA teams and I think I can really help a team. I’ve got good speed in the outfield and I can hit with power or placement. C’mon guys, I need this! AND, as an added benefit, my wife comes to all the games so your fan base will increase! Plus, she can pitch bp as long as you like hitting pitches that never exceed 3 feet. Sorry, I tried posting the typical “Looking for a team” and didn’t get any results so I’m giving this a shot. | Nov. 7, 2017 BH44 Men's 50 74 posts | Michigan Mike - If Dave and Senior Softball would do the right thing and allow Michigan players play for Illinois teams, I would give you a try but states such as Iowa that don't touch Illinois but we can takes those players - they won't let us grab Michigan players - I guess Lake Michigan is not a river like Illinois / Iowa divider - sorry you will find a team. Check with the Lansing Legends - a good team and good group of guys. |

| Nov. 7, 2017 Rick35 Men's 55 78 posts | Click on red "LEAGUE" and click on green where Michigan is, and you will find several senior leagues in your state which I am pretty sure of many senior players playing there are on senior team for tourneys...check them out. |

| Nov. 8, 2017 grayhitter59 Men's 60 345 posts | Mike, what you need to do is get out of the cold weather in Michigan, turn south, change your color selection to Orange and Green, (the real U of M) and move to Florida. we play year round, lots of teams to choose from and you won't have any problems getting picked up. Just my 2 cents from Florida. LOL Good luck |

Does anyone on this message board live at "The Villages"? I'd be interested to hear their opinions on it. I do like the "Green" part of your team because I went to Michigan State. I think you guys have a big game this weekend against Notre Dame, should be a good one. |

Besides that we have a Florida half century league that plays once a month in the state (travels from venue to venue). If you also like golf the have over 50 courses. PS buy a golf cart everyone has one they even have parking stalls at all the stores just for carts LOL. Google both the Villages and Florida half century for more info. Good luck GO CANES!!!!! |
