Nov. 20, 2017 garyheifner 649 posts | WORTH WICKED REVIEW When we were in Vegas, this Tanner-Tri guy attacked 4 of us with a sales pitch that bordered on the criminal. We got suckered in and each bought one. We used them in the Ft. Meyers Winter Nationals. We were disappointed. The 4 of us combined only came up with an average just shy of "800" with only "5" x-tra base hits each. This bat is a travesty, an abomination, terrible, a farce, awful, dreadful, absurd, disgusting, horrifying, ghastly, just bad. Now that being said, I am the most kind, giving, magnanimous man you will ever meet. SO: if U have one of these in your bag, say in the 26 or 27 oz. version and U just want it to disappear: I will step up to the plate, take it away from U and hide it in my bat bag for the next 3 or 4 years. Say in the $50 area plus shipping. I am just trying to lighten your pain. |

Nov. 21, 2017 G MAN Men's 55 35 posts | Gary, I rarely write on this site but after I read your post I had to respond. You have one hell of a nerve to make a statement about Alan Tanner bordering criminal over the sale of a softball bat . All great hitters will tell you its not the bat its the batter. Then you are soliciting to buy anyone used wicked bat.......Really ?? Here is a little advise for you today......try and work on your spelling :>)) then work on your hitting and finally I will buy all 3 of your bats for 50.00 each........So please inform on this site if we have a deal so everyone can see if you are truthful and honest about this bat. Nov. 21, 2017 garyheifner 649 posts | Thank you-raiderman66 Gentlemen-reread and then call up one of your 2nd or 3rd grade grand children and ask them to explain the the meaning of: "Sarcastic Humor" It is the best BAT I have ever hit. After only "2" games, I sold my 2 Mikens and 2 others the same day. I thought you might have had a clue as to the sarcasm when I suggested a near 800 average among the 4 guys with 22 x-tra base hits, that the bat might be pretty good. With my Doctorate in Education, I rarely misspell a word. If I did, your issue might be with Spell Check which showed no errors. Also, if you can understand the inner meaning of the post, I think Allen will sell hundreds more of these bats than what he planned on. yes-yes-yes-yes-yes- and so on: The best Senior Bat on the Market. |
Nov. 21, 2017 garyheifner 649 posts | Hi bogie Don't know when I will get back to the Woodlawn Hitting Club. I do enjoy hitting there as much as tournaments. Great fun-Great guys and Dave North runs a great club. |
Nov. 21, 2017 VMartinelli60 3 posts | I could tell the sarcasm right away, but the truth is? It was a stupid post! I will agree the bat is hot! I bought from Alan too and he shipped it to me out here in California. I am still breaking it in but one of our guys in Phoenix hit 3 bombs with his XL! And got MVP! Great Bat!! |
Nov. 22, 2017 MurrayW Men's 65 221 posts | Dr. Gary, you misspelled Alan. :) My attempt at sarcastic humor. |

Nov. 23, 2017 Tri18 352 posts | Can’t you guys be nice even on Thanksgiving? 😂😉 It took me a couple of reads to get it myself but the bottom line is the Worth Wicked is surely now among the best of the best in senior bats. Hope each of you and your families have a great Thanksgiving from the only company in senior Softball open on Thanksgiving Day! Alan Tanner Team 1Sports |
Nov. 23, 2017 cheezhed1 Men's 70 47 posts | You need to have a somewhat warped sense of humor to appreciate Gary's post. I don't know the man personally, but I immediately understood the point he was making. I have been buying bats from Alan (correct spelling) for some time now and have never been mislead or disappointed in his recommendations. I had back surgery in September and bought the Worth Wicked in October based on Alan's recommendation. All I can do until the first of the year is look at it without being able to swing it. It drives me crazy not being able to unleash this weapon of softball destruction until then. So Alan, thanks for putting me through this addition pain and suffering. :-) |
Nov. 24, 2017 cheezhed1 Men's 70 47 posts | Just a clarification...the last sentence in my post is "sarcastic humor". I hold Alan in the highest regard and will continue to trust his judgement in softball equipment and knowledge of the game we all love. He's not only is a good and honest man, I'm proud to say he's my friend. (now will you give me discounts on future purchases?) Yes, fellow softball players...more sarcastic humor. |
Nov. 24, 2017 Fabe Men's 65 456 posts | I also concur about how Alan lives, plays softball n takes care of players! Mahalo U always have surf lessons waiting, when U come to the Tropics! Aloha, Fabe |
Dec. 17, 2017 Mikelmart 152 posts | I just bought the Wicked after reading some reviews and watching a few Youtube videos. I hesitated because of the endload. I swing a balanced bat and am a line drive hitter. Even though the end load is only advertised as a 1/4 ounce I was wondering if anyone can tell a big difference. |
Dec. 17, 2017 fennellwg Men's 60 97 posts | Dave (senior softball bat reviews) measured the end weight for a 27oz wicked at slightly less than a comparable 27 oz Dudley or addidas. ... still more than similar weight balanced. You probably can feel the difference, but it would certainly be a good compromise while you adapt. balanced 27 oz bats will have the balance point around 20.2 - 20.5” 1/2 oz endloaded 27 oz bats will have BP around 21.5 - 21.75” According to Dave a 27 oz wicked has BP around 21.3” |
Dec. 18, 2017 BudLeftField 86 posts | The XL on the Worth wicked denotes a 1/2 oz. end load. This bat out hits my 2015 Miken Big Cat [26 oz.-1 oz. end-load] off the tee by about 10 feet.I swing a 27 oz. Wicked and it feels the same as my 26 oz. Miken. Most of the players in my league seem to prefer the Adidas at this time. |
