Miken Ultra II
WHILE AT THE TOC IN FLORIDA A FEW WEEKS AGO WE TALKED TO THE MIKEN REP ABOUT A ULTRA II THAT SPLIT COMPLETELY IN HALF AND THE BARREL FLEW OFF THE HANDLE. IT WAS A CLEAN BREAK LIKE IT WAS CUT WITH A LASER. THE REP TOLD US THAT IT WAS A FAULTY BAT AND THEY WOULD EXCHANGE. HE TOLD US TO CALL THE 800 NUMBER AND TALK TO THIS ONE LADY AND TELL HER THAT WE TALKED TO THIS REP ABOUT RETURNING THIS FAULTY BAT. HE SAID IT WAS DEFFINATELY FAULTY AND NOT CRACKED. THE WOMAN IN CHARGE OF RETURNS (I GUESS) TOLD US THE REP SHOULD NOT HAVE TOLD US THIS BECAUSE THE BAT WAS A NO RETURN. I CAN UNDERSTAND THE WARRANTY ON CRACKED ONES BUT THIS ONE SPLIT IN HALF. SHE STILL KEPT INSISTING ON THE NO WARRANTY CLAUSE. WELL I GUESS I WILL NO LONGER BUY THE ULTRA II ANYMORE I'LL CHANGE TO THE COMBAT. BESIDES WHEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE COMBATS THEY AT LEAST TALK TO YOU AND NOT MAKE YOU FILL LIKE AN IDIOT. WE USUALLY BUY 20-30 ULTRAS A YEAR BUT NOT THIS YEAR.

I was selling bats at the T.O.C. and I sold a miken u2 advanced to Ron Ploog from Ploog construction. Well it broke in 1 game and I happily gave him a new one on the spot. Sorry to hear about your mis-fortune.

KANDY: I have seen @ least 12 bats dur' this past yr break, where the barrel & handle connect. U-2's, Freak Plus's, 585's, etc. Some were N.I.W. The females in Customer Service, did not give a d..... Just rude & non-caring. THIS IS WHY COMBAT & the other Canadan bat MFG's will do well.

MIKEN, does not care. I brought several bats from MIKEN, that were defected & MIKEN would not take them back. This past yr, I had 2 new U-2's break @ the point were the barrel & handle is secured. Amy, @ MIKEN, " NO WARRANTY", sorry. (She is a real horses ........)

I would hope that u send that bat back to MIKEN. Ask MIKEN, to have the 'boss', look @ that bat or try & talk to someone @ K-2. As I understand it, K-2, ownes MIKEN, WORTH, & RAWLINGS.

I believe that u will enjoy the SENIOR COMBAT & that bat will last 3 times longer than a U-2.

Anyone else, has any bad dealings w/ MIKEN?

GOOD LUCK.......The STONEMAN

I also had trouble with Miken, I purchased one of the new Miken titanium bats. The bat was dead no pop to it at all. I e-mailed them. No response. After serveral weeks I called got the (girl) on the phone she gave me no help at all. Now I have a $450 paper weight. Great company? No customer service. That's how companies go out of business. Then just recently they sent me an e-mail wanting me to purchase their team package. That won't happen. Nor willI ever buy anything from them.
